Aldi is coming for Kmart's wellness crown, with the supermarket giant set to drop its own affordable collection after its rival went viral with a range of 'high-end' gadgets.

Launching on Wednesday, September 9, Aldi's latest wellness Special Buys will hit stores across Australia – and two surprisingly luxe additions are tipped to sell-out fast.

The range follows the success of Aldi's at-home ice bath and infrared sauna blanket, which sent shoppers into a frenzy when they landed earlier this year.

Leading the new drop is a $149 portable steam sauna, bringing one of the wellness world's biggest – and traditionally most expensive – trends into the living room.

Dubbed a 'steam sanctuary', the compact sauna is designed for shoppers wanting to unwind and soothe tired muscles without leaving home – or handing over hundreds of dollars for a spa membership.

Better still, it folds away when you're finished, making it a considerably more practical proposition for those without a dedicated home gym or wellness room.

Also expected to be a winner are Aldi's $199 professional-grade recovery compression boots.

Using active air compression, the massage boots are designed to promote circulation and ease muscle fatigue, making them likely to appeal to everyone from serious fitness fanatics to shoppers simply looking for some heavy-duty recovery after a long day on their feet.

The launch comes just days after Kmart stocked Australian stores with its own collection of trending wellness products

Similar recovery devices and at-home wellness technology can command eye-watering prices elsewhere, making Aldi's latest offerings likely to cause a stir when they land in the middle aisle.

The launch comes just days after Kmart stocked Australian stores with its own collection of trending wellness products – including a $29 smart ring shoppers have compared to the wildly popular Oura Ring.

Daily Mail got a sneak peek at the new collection in Melbourne, with standout buys including a $49 LED Light Therapy Mask, $39 Sunrise Alarm Clock, $35 Cooling Memory Foam Pillow and $12 Pilates Ring.

But it's the $29 Smart Ring that has emerged as one of the biggest talking points.

Available in three sizes, the budget gadget can monitor sleep, heart rate and blood oxygen levels, while also tracking activity including steps, distance, duration and calories.
