Two people are dead after a weekend crash in Nova Scotia's Annapolis Valley.
In a news release Monday, RCMP said emergency crews responded around 11 a.m. Saturday to a collision on Highway 101 in Auburn, N.S., involving an eastbound car and a westbound SUV.
Both drivers, a 63-year-old woman from Prospect and a 34-year-old man from Cambridge, were pronounced dead at the scene, police said. They were the only occupants of the vehicles.
The highway was closed for several hours after the crash.
Police are continuing to investigate and ask any witnesses, including those with dashcam footage, to contact Kings District RCMP at 902-679-5555.
