A vehicle crash left one person is dead and two others seriously injured in Central El Paso near the Cassidy Gate entrance to Fort Bliss, police said.
The single-vehicle crash occurred about 4 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, at the intersection of Gateway North Boulevard and the Cassidy Exit of the U.S. 54 Patriot Freeway, said El Paso police and the Texas Department of Transportation via X.
One person was dead at the scene and two others were transported to hospitals with serious injuries, Sgt. Robert Gomez, an El Paso police spokesman, said in a message.
The crash is under investigation by the police Special Traffic Investigations Unit.
The names of those involved and further details on the crash were not immediately available as an investigation continued Sunday.
