The Pulsar name has been part of many Indian bike rides for years. It is the bike many riders remember from college days, first jobs and weekend rides. Now Bajaj is preparing a new chapter for the familiar name. The new Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 will be launched in India on August 24, 2026. The motorcycles have already been spotted at dealerships, giving us a good idea of what to expect.
The Pulsar 125 has several changes across its design and hardware. It gets a new LED headlamp, sharper tank extensions, revised side panels, a slimmer tail section and fresh graphics. Single seat and split seat versions are expected.
The feature list is also much more modern.
The 125cc engine is expected to produce around 12 PS and 11 Nm with a five speed gearbox. Bajaj has also moved to a single cradle frame with a monoshock at the rear. Telescopic front forks and 17 inch wheels continue.
The larger Pulsar 150 follows a similar design direction. It gets a new headlamp, fuel tank, side panels and tail section. Single seat and split seat versions are expected here too.
Its mechanical package gets an important update. The new 150cc engine is expected to make around 14 PS and 13 Nm with a five speed gearbox. Spy images have also shown an oil cooler, a notable change from the current air cooled setup.
The new frame and monoshock are also expected on the Pulsar 150. The split seat version may get wider tyres and disc brakes at both ends.
The Pulsar 125 will compete with the TVS Raider, Honda SP 125 and Hero Xtreme 125R. The Pulsar 150 will face the Honda SP160, TVS Apache RTR 160 2V and Yamaha FZ FI V3.
Bajaj has not announced prices yet. The new motorcycles are expected to cost more than the current versions because of the added features and hardware.
Prices, variants and complete specifications will be revealed on August 24. For Pulsar fans, there is plenty to look forward to when Bajaj finally shows the bikes in full.
