The New England Revolution said its forward, Dor Turgeman, was subject to \u201cantisemitic and discriminatory abuse\u201d from CF Montr\u00e9al fans during the teams\u2019 game at Stade Saputo.<\/p>\n
While the team and league don\u2019t indicate in their respective statements what was said to the 22-year-old, it\u2019s reported to have included chants of \u201cDeath to Israel,\u201d according to the Anti-Defamation League and Stop Antisemitism.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Early in the match, Turgeman notched a goal to put his team up 2-0 and proceeded to celebrate by the Montreal net, gesturing to home side supporters as a couple of beer cans and cups rained down on the pitch around him, as seen in multiple videos on X.<\/p>\n

The Revolution said it reported the \u201cantisemitic and discriminatory abuse directed\u201d at Turgeman to the league immediately and fully supports an investigation it hopes will end with those responsible held to account \u201cfor their unacceptable actions.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is zero tolerance for abuse, harassment, or discrimination in our game, and this behaviour must be unequivocally condemned,\u201d the organization said in a statement. \u201cThe entire Revolution organization stands with Dor. No player should ever be subjected to abuse because of their race, ethnicity, religion or identity.<\/p>\n
\u201cAntisemitism and all forms of hate have no place in our sport, our stadiums and our communities.\u201d<\/p>\n
The league said it has zero tolerance for \u201chateful language.\u201d The code of conduct policy for fans states that such behaviour can \u201cresult in ejection without refund, loss of ticket privileges for future games and revocation of season tickets\u201d and bans of up to six months for \u201cextremely disruptive or dangerous\u201d conduct or repeated offences.<\/p>\n
