Muzaffarabad, Aug 4: Unrest continued to mount in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) as the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) alleged that Pakistani forces opened fire and used tear gas against unarmed civilians in Bagh district.<\/p>\n
In a social media post accompanied by purported ground footage, the JAAC alleged that security forces used live ammunition against protesters in the district amid escalating demonstrations across the occupied territory.<\/p>\n
The committee also alleged that Pakistani forces set civilians\u2019 motorcycles on fire in the Makri area of Muzaffarabad district.<\/p>\n
The latest allegations came amid growing protests and clashes between demonstrators and Pakistani security forces in several parts of PoJK. According to reports cited by the JAAC, more than 50 people have been killed and hundreds injured during the unrest over the past few days.<\/p>\n
The protests have intensified over a range of demands raised by local groups, with the situation remaining tense across parts of the occupied territory.<\/p>\n
