{"id":49026,"date":"2026-08-20T18:12:41","date_gmt":"2026-08-20T18:12:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/futureknowledge.in\/?p=49026"},"modified":"2026-08-20T18:12:41","modified_gmt":"2026-08-20T18:12:41","slug":"basic-account-cash-withdrawals-beyond-four-will-attract-a-charge-of-%e2%82%b915-plus-gst-per-transaction-says-sbi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/futureknowledge.in\/?p=49026","title":{"rendered":"Basic account cash withdrawals beyond four will attract a charge of \u20b915 plus GST per transaction, says SBI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While the first four withdrawals \u2014 including those made at ATMs \u2014 will remain free, all digital transactions will continue to be exempt from charges.<\/p>\n<p>State Bank of India (SBI) has decided to revise the cash withdrawal charges for basic savings bank deposit accounts (BSBDA) opened through the branch channel with effect from October 1, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>While four cash withdrawals in a month, including ATM withdrawals at own and other bank\u2019s ATMs, cash withdrawal at branch channels\u00a0will be free, withdrawals beyond this limit will attract a charge of \u20b915 plus GST per transaction, the bank said in a notice to its customers.<\/p>\n<p>All digital transactions will continue to be free without any restriction. All individuals having valid KYC documents are eligible to open a BSBDA, which is available at all branches and has no minimum balance requirement.<\/p>\n<p>While no cheque book facility is available\u00a0with these accounts, withdrawals\u00a0can be done\u00a0using withdrawal form at branches or through ATMs\u00a0using basic Rupay ATM-cum-debit card.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA\u00a0customer cannot have any other savings bank account, if he\/she has a basic savings bank deposit account.
