Delhi Laxmi Yojana Registration Process:<\/strong> The Delhi government has launched the “Delhi Laxmi Yojana” to empower women in the national capital to become financially independent. Under the scheme, the oldest female member of a family will receive financial assistance of \u20b92,500 per month.<\/p>\n

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has launched the official portal for the Lakshmi Yojana, which has already begun accepting applications. Within just two days of the scheme’s launch, more than 1.47 lakh registrations have been received. The government has allocated a budget of \u20b95,100 crore for the scheme. \u20b92,500 will not be credited to your account at once.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Delhi Laxmi Yojana is a unique hybrid cash-transfer and savings scheme that offers two options for women:<\/p>\n

Option 1 (Cash + FD):<\/strong> An amount of \u20b91,000 will be transferred directly to the bank account of the beneficiary woman, while the remaining \u20b91,500 will be invested in a ‘Fixed Deposit’ (FD) by the government.<\/p>\n

Option 2 (Full FD):<\/strong> The beneficiary can choose to invest the entire \u20b92,500 in a fixed deposit.<\/p>\n

This FD will have a lock-in period of 3 years, on which the state government will provide sovereign guarantee.<\/p>\n

Who can apply?<\/strong><\/p>\n

To avail the benefits of the scheme, women applicants must fulfill the following conditions:<\/p>\n

Head of the Family:<\/strong> The applicant woman should be the senior most member of the family.
\nAge Limit:<\/strong> The age of the woman should be between 21 to 60 years.
\nFamily Income:<\/strong> The total annual income of the family should not exceed \u20b92.5 lakh.
\nDelhi Resident:<\/strong> The applicant, his\/her spouse or either of his\/her parents must be a resident of Delhi for at least 10 years.
\nVoter ID:<\/strong> The applicant must be a registered voter of Delhi.
\nElectricity Consumption:<\/strong> The annual electricity consumption of the family during the last 1 year should not exceed 2,400 units.<\/p>\n

Who will not get the benefit?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Families who are income tax payers or file GST.
\nAny member of the family is a permanent\/contract employee in a government job, public sector undertaking (PSU) or local body.
\nThose who have four wheeler.
\nThe applicant woman should not have more than 3 children.
\nPeople with criminal records will not be eligible for the scheme.
\nDocuments required for application<\/p>\n

Proof of Identity and Address:<\/strong> Voter ID Card (Delhi) and Aadhar Card.<\/p>\n

Passport Size Photograph and Signature:<\/strong> Clear photograph and signature of the applicant.<\/p>\n

Recommendation Letter from MP or MLA: Signed recommendation\/support letter from the Member of Parliament (MP) or MLA (MLA) of the area.<\/p>\n

Proof of address\/electricity consumption: Electricity bill or gas connection bill.<\/p>\n

Age proof (any one): Birth certificate, 10th mark sheet, driving license, PAN card, voter ID or Aadhaar card.<\/p>\n

Bank Account Details: Copy of bank passbook to receive the amount through DBT.<\/p>\n

Up to 3 children \u2022 Age 21\u201360 years \u2022 No criminal record<\/p>\n

Eligible women can register from the comfort of their homes by following the simple steps given below:<\/p>\n

Step 1: Visit the official website https:\/\/dly.delhi.gov.in and click on ‘Apply for Scheme’ followed by ‘Register Now’.<\/p>\n

Step 2: Enter your personal information and basic details.<\/p>\n

Step 3: Fill in the details of all the family members correctly.<\/p>\n

Step 4: Enter your current bank account for money transfer.<\/p>\n

Step 5: Upload all the required documents in the prescribed format.<\/p>\n

Step 6: Check the preview of the form carefully and submit it finally.<\/p>\n

Step 7: Upload a copy of the recommendation signed by the regional MP or MLA.<\/p>\n
