Remedy Entertainment has announced the action-adventure RPG,\u00a0Control Resonant, has gone gold. This means the game is now being pressed onto discs for retails and prepared for digital release.<\/p>\n
The studio has also announced the release date for the physical edition has been delayed to October 15.<\/p>\n
Control Resonant\u00a0will launch for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via\u00a0Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store on September 24.<\/p>\n

Good news for going Gold. Delaying the physical release outside the release window when more units are sold is a deliverate move that I don't like.<\/p>\n
I hate to admit this, but yeah, this does seem deliberate. It seems that it takes a game weeks to ship a physical release from the moment it goes gold, not two months. With at least early GTA V copies being just download codes too, I don't see what could possibly cause this to require about two months – with the possible exception of Remedy's inexperience, because apparently they're self-publishing, but how hard could that be?<\/p>\n
If the trade-off is that the game just runs well off the disc without a day one patch, I think this is actually worth it. Not that it is the case here, that I don\u2019t know about.<\/p>\n
I guess that's one possibility, but if that's the case, they're definitely cutting it very close if they need to delay the physical release so much.<\/p>\n
I was on the fence on whether to get it and launch and pay extra for the dlc…<\/p>\n
Now I'm just waiting for the all included release in 12 months or so.<\/p>\n
