Salma Hayek already loves being an abuela \u2014 and has given herself and the newborn a sweet nickname.<\/p>\n
The actor became a grandma after stepson Fran\u00e7ois Pinault Jr. and his wife, Lara Cosima Henckel von Donnersmarck, welcomed their first child together.<\/p>\n
Hayek and husband Fran\u00e7ois-Henri Pinault share 18-year-old daughter Valentina. Pinault is also father to Pinault Jr., 28, Mathilde Pinault, 25, and Augustin James Evangelista, 19, from previous relationships.<\/p>\n
Sharing a first glimpse of Pinault Jr.\u2019s newborn on her Instagram, Hayek posted a video of her cradling the baby while she spoke Spanish to him. The \u201cGrown Ups\u201d star shared that the little one is named after his father and grandfather \u2014 but has another name in mind for the baby.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are blessed to welcome the fourth living generation of Francois\u2019,\u201d she wrote. \u201cAlthough I will call him Panchito. He seems to love it, and I cannot love him more.\u201d<\/p>\n
In Mexico, Panchito or Pancho is a common nickname for people named Francisco. The French equivalent of Francisco is Fran\u00e7ois.<\/p>\n
In Hayek\u2019s video she asks little \u201cPanchito\u201d in Spanish, \u201cWhat are you dreaming about?\u201d<\/p>\n
The baby coos and giggles in his sleep as she continues calling him by the moniker and speaking to him in Spanish. \u201cNos da mucha risa.\u201d<\/p>\n
When she calls him \u201cchiquitito hermoso,\u201d he smiles and continues to laugh in his sleep. She also calls herself \u201cabue,\u201d short for abuela or grandma in Spanish.<\/p>\n
On Aug. 12, von Donnersmarck shared a slideshow filled with photos of her and her bundle of joy. It also included snaps of baby Fran\u00e7ois with his father and one with Hayek holding him.<\/p>\n
\u201cmy husband (the world\u2019s coolest fran\u00e7ois) and our son (the world\u2019s cutest fran\u00e7ois)\u2026 our first month as parents,\u201d the new mom captioned her post, adding a hatching chick emoji.<\/p>\n
Hayek has supported her stepchildren\u2019s accomplishments over the years. When Augustin Evangelista graduated high school last year, she shared photos from the celebration and wrote how proud she was of him.<\/p>\n
She also congratulated his mom, model Linda Evangelista, for the parenting milestone. Linda Evangelista welcomed her son in 2006 after a brief romance with Pinault.<\/p>\n
In the comments section of her own post celebrating her son\u2019s graduation, the supermodel wrote to Hayek, \u201cLove you and all your support.\u201d<\/p>\n
In a 2017 Red magazine interview, Hayek shared how she \u201calways wanted to have a lot of children\u201d and how becoming a stepmother was a \u201cblessing.\u201d<\/p>\n
