See which ones"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Some popular arts and cultural programs will continue after Bergen County received additional grant funding totaling more than $300,000.<\/p>\n<p>The county&#039;s Art in the Park, Music at the Barn and Fall Festival at Overpeck Park are some of the events funded in part by grants from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts to support arts and cultural programming.<\/p>\n<p>For the 2027 fiscal year, Bergen County was awarded $319,400 to help pay for several programs throughout the year, including some upcoming events that were supported with the grant last year.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Arts and culture are an important part of what makes Bergen County such a great place to live,&quot; County Executive James Tedesco said. &quot;This funding will help us continue some of the programs and events that residents look forward to each year, while also supporting local arts organizations doing great work in communities across Bergen County.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Funding from the State Council on the Arts will be used to pay for activities and events organized by the Division of Cultural &amp; Historic Affairs, including some of the county&#039;s most beloved annual programs.<\/p>\n<p>They include the Bergen County Teen Arts Festival, the Music at the Wortendyke Barn concert series, Art in the Park, and musical entertainment at the annual Bergen County 4-H Fall Harvest Festival.<\/p>\n<p>This summer, the Music at the Barn concert series still has shows scheduled for Aug. 30 with Jonny Rosch and Friends, Sept. 27 with All-Star Jazz Blast and Oct. 25 with the bluegrass 16th annual Cider Barn Band.<\/p>\n<p>The Bergen County Fall Festival is scheduled at Overpeck Park for Sept. 18, 19 and 20 and will feature carnival rides, food, a craft fair and entertainment.<\/p>\n<p>Art in the Park will take place sometime this October at Van Saun Park, where more than 100 artists from the county will showcase their products.<\/p>\n<p>The funding will also support Bergen County-based nonprofit arts organizations through the Division of Cultural &amp; Historic Affairs Arts Grant Program.<\/p>\n<p>The grant will support a wide range of cultural and arts-focused programs overseen by the division. The programs provide opportunities for residents of all ages to experience the arts, celebrate creativity and connect with their communities.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;This grant is a wonderful investment in the arts and in the many organizations, programs, and events that enrich our communities throughout Bergen County,&quot; Commissioner Chairman Steve Tanelli said. &quot;We are proud to support opportunities that make the arts accessible to residents of all ages and help our local arts community continue to grow and thrive.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>This article originally appeared on NorthJersey.com: $319K grant helps keep popular Bergen events going.
