The Batmobile has officially touched down in Glasgow as the city gets set to double up as Gotham City for a fourth time for The Batman: Part II.<\/p>\n
Images and videos shared on social media showed the vehicle being taken off a trailer and driven into a car park in St Vincent Lane in Glasgow city centre on Monday morning.<\/p>\n
It comes after a large number of vehicles being used in the production – including yellow US-style taxis – were spotted in a car park off Broomielaw on Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Among the vehicles was a van for Gotham Water and Power – a fictional utility facility in Gotham City featured in Batman comics.<\/p>\n

The Herald exclusively revealed in July that production crews would be descending on Glasgow to shoot scenes for the official sequel to Matt Reeves' 2022 film The Batman.<\/p>\n
Robert Pattinson returns as Bruce Wayne\/Batman in the sequel alongside Jeffrey Wright as Lieutenant Jim Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Colin Farrell as the Penguin, and Jayme Lawson as Mayor Bella Re\u00e1l.<\/p>\n
Joining the cast are Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Brian Tyree Henry and Charles Dance, with Barry Keoghan also expected to reprise his role as supervillain The Joker.<\/p>\n
Filming is set to take place at a number of locations in the city centre over a three-week period from Tuesday, August 18, at locations including Bothwell Street, Wellington Street, Glasgow Bridge, Broomielaw, Newton Street (under the Kingston Bridge), North Street, Pitt Street and the National Cycle Network (NCN) Route 75 along the River Clyde.<\/p>\n

The Batman Part II is officially scheduled to be released in cinemas on February 18, 2028.<\/p>\n
Scenes for The Batman – which made over \u00a3650 million at the worldwide box office – were filmed in Glasgow in February of 2020 , with the Necropolis and Glasgow Cathedral prominently featured in the movie's final scenes.\u00a0<\/p>\n
