Sail.Game takes that knowledge and brings it into a new era of digital scouting, helping developers reach the right partners much more efficiently.

Geršl concluded: "Thanks to our partners and sponsors, we can now temporarily open free access and give many more studios a real shot at finding funding, while allowing them to focus on building great games.”

Geršl and managing director Guillaume Jamet launched Sail.game earlier this year.

The platform now features over 230 verified publishers and investors and has facilitated more than 23,000 user interactions.

Sail.game's discovery service is free for qualified publishers. Jamet previously told GamesIndustry.biz that the €99 price point is a "necessary gate" to maintain the "integrity of its ecosystem."

"Teams routinely spend a lot more on events, travel, or participating in online showcases with highly uncertain outcomes," he said. "We believe we offer a much higher chance of getting noticed for a much lower cost, both in cash and in man-hours."

Source: Read the original article on www.gamesindustry.biz

From today until August 31, developers can bypass the €99 fee and gain access to the platform's Entry Cruise tier using promo code SAILFREE Matchmaking platform Sail.game is introducing a free tier for PC and console game developers ahead of Gamescom.
