While it doesn’t have a release date yet (that will depend on how well the theatrical run goes), you can already preorder it in various editions and formats, including a 4K limited-edition steelbook (see at Amazon). We have all the links and pricing below. Let’s check it out.

The End of Oak Street is a movie about a suburban street that’s lifted out of time. In fact, the movie itself feels lifted out of time, too. It’s not a sequel. It’s not based on a licensed property or part of a larger “universe.” It’s not two-plus hours long. It’s not directed by Christopher Nolan, Ridley Scott, or Steven Spielberg.

The End of Oak Street is a thriller based on a cool concept, starring recognizable movie stars — you know, like most of the movies that used to come out in the ‘90s and 2000s were, before the MCU started making billions of dollars and every movie studio started exclusively trying to do that.

It stars Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor as parents in a 1980s suburban household. All is going well until their whole street is transported millions of years back in time, to when dinosaurs ruled the earth. Cue the family’s fight for survival against prehistoric beasts. It sounds super fun, and I can’t wait to see it. Did I mention it’s 99 minutes long, so it doesn’t overstay its welcome like every other blockbuster does?

The End of Oak Street is produced by J.J. Abrams, and written and directed by David Robert Mitchell, who’s most well known for the excellent, super-intense horror movie It Follows. Dude knows how to film a chase sequence.

If you're interested in other upcoming 4K steelbooks, you have plenty of new and classic movies to choose from. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is already up for preorder, even as it slays at the box office. With Halloween coming up, plenty of horror movies are getting the steelbook treatment as well. The original Scary Movie from 2000 is getting one. Rob Zombie’s Firefly movie trilogy is, too. So are both Hostel movies and del Toro’s Frankenstein. You can check out our full list of 4K and Blu-ray release dates for a whole lot more.

Chris Reed is a senior commerce editor and deals expert for IGN.
