Police said the alleged network transported the contraband from Andhra Pradesh to Bengaluru through Hyderabad.<\/p>\n<p>Hyderabad: The Special Operations Team (SOT), LB Nagar Zone, along with Vanasthalipuram police, busted an interstate hashish oil supply network and arrested six persons, including a woman and two juveniles, near Chinthalkunta on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Police seized 12 kg of hashish oil worth an estimated Rs 1.5 crore, along with five mobile phones and Rs 5,000 cash.<\/p>\n<p>The suspects were identified as G Srinu, his wife Nibiya KB alias Ammu, Ch Saran, P Jagadish alias Jagga, and two 17-year-old juveniles.<\/p>\n<p>According to police, the gang allegedly transported hashish oil from the Alluri Sitarama Raju district of Andhra Pradesh to Bengaluru through Hyderabad. Four carriers, including the two juveniles, concealed the contraband in 1 kg packets strapped to their legs and abdomen, with each carrier carrying around 3 kg.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSrinu, the prime suspect, had previously been arrested in NDPS cases in Andhra Pradesh and resumed drug trafficking after his release. He and his wife allegedly recruited unemployed tribal youths by offering them money to transport the contraband,\u201d said Malkajgiri Police Commissioner B Sumathi.<\/p>\n<p>For the current consignment, a Bengaluru-based receiver allegedly promised Rs 10 lakh for delivering the 12 kg of hashish oil.<\/p>\n<p>The arrested persons reportedly collected the consignment from a supplier identified as Krishna in the Chintapalli area and travelled towards Bengaluru.<\/p>\n<p>Police are searching for Krishna and another accused, Sijo, believed to be the main receiver in Bengaluru.<\/p>\n<p>Further investigation is underway to identify other members of the interstate network.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a9 Copyrights 2024 TELANGANA PUBLICATIONS PVT.
