English actor Paul Bettany can be seen reprising his role as former Avenger Vision in the first trailer for Marvel series VisionQuest.<\/p>\n
The 55-year-old previously played the character in Avengers: Age Of Ultron (2015), Captain America: Civil War (2016) and Avengers: Infinity War (2018) \u2013 and also played the character\u2019s AI form, Jarvis, in Age Of Ultron, Iron Man (2008), Iron Man 2 (2010), and Iron Man 3 (2013).<\/p>\n
The new series is the third in a trilogy which began with 2021\u2019s WandaVision, which also saw Bettany as Vision, and 2024\u2019s Agatha All Along.<\/p>\n
Speaking at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event \u2013 where the trailer was released, Bettany said: \u201cIt\u2019s been an enormous joy playing the Vision as he\u2019s evolved over the years, he\u2019s been an Avenger, a father, a partner to Wanda, and he\u2019s helped turned the tide in some fairly enormous battles.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe made the ultimate sacrifice and rather inconveniently died several times, which I can tell you is an act that can make long-term financial planning difficult.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut I am told that in the Marvel Universe, no-one is ever really dead \u2014 unless Kevin (Fiege, Marvel Studios president) says they\u2019re dead, and even then, I wouldn\u2019t really trust him anyway.\u201d<\/p>\n
The series trailer also sees James Spader reprise his role as Ultron, and begins showing Vision working in a pub, before also revealing he has a son.<\/p>\n
In the clip, Bettany can be heard as Vision saying: \u201cWho am I? I was an Avenger, but I\u2019m not a hero anymore, I have his face but not his virtue, all I have is his name.\u201d<\/p>\n
The new series will launch on Disney+ on October 14.<\/p>\n
