One of America\u2019s most original directors returned this year with this underrated movie following an aging pop diva (Anne Hathaway) who reunites with her former costume designer (Michaela Coel) to devise a look for her comeback. A story of how friendship, success, and creativity can struggle to share space, it\u2019s a performance piece with great turns from Hathaway and Coel, who helped devise the project with David Lowery. \u27bd Streaming August 21.<\/p>\n

One of the best Stephen King adaptations remains this coming-of-age story based on the author\u2019s novella The Body. The movie gained an overdue reappreciation after the passing of its brilliant director in late 2025. Rob Reiner directed a fantastic young cast that includes River Phoenix, Jerry O\u2019Connell, Wil Wheaton, and Corey Feldman as four friends who go on a hike to find a dead body. \u27bd Streaming now.<\/p>\n
