When first responders arrived at Perez Hilton\u2019s house following his Aug. 4 livestream, during which he engaged in self-harm, a fire rescue team also treated him for an overdose, per a police report.<\/p>\n
Perez Hilton was treated for more than just his physical injuries after his self-harm incident.<\/p>\n
After the celebrity blogger engaged in self-harm during an Aug. 4 livestream, prompting police to be dispatched to his Miami home, first responders treated him for a drug overdose in addition to his injuries before he was transported to the hospital, according to a Miami-Dade County Sheriff\u2019s Office incident report obtained by People.<\/p>\n
Hilton\u2019s sister Barbara Lavandeira told police that, before they arrived, she had seen her brother naked and \u201ccovered in blood\u201d in his bathroom, prompting her to take his three kids\u2014whose ages range from 8 to 13\u2014to her car to get them out of the house, according to the report.<\/p>\n
However, before they could leave the house, she said her brother (real name Mario Lavandeira Jr.) approached the car naked and bloody and began \u201cbanging on the vehicle\u2019s driver window,\u201d according to the sheriff\u2019s office.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Later, after some of Hilton\u2019s family members and several officers entered the home, they brought the media personality into the living room and a fire rescue team \u201cbegan treatment on scene for multiple lacerations and an overdose,\u201d per the report.<\/p>\n
E! News has reached out to reps for Hilton and the Miami-Dade Sheriff\u2019s Department for comment but has not yet heard back.<\/p>\n
Since Hilton was admitted to the hospital Aug. 4, his family shared that his condition \u201cremains serious but stable,\u201d though he will need to undergo multiple procedures.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cHe experienced significant blood loss and sustained additional injuries that will require surgery in the coming days,\u201d the Lavandeira family wrote on Hilton\u2019s website Aug. 8. \u201cHis treatment and recovery will be a long process. We are grateful that Perez was able to spend time with his mother and sister yesterday.\u201d<\/p>\n
As Hilton remains in the hospital under Florida\u2019s Baker Act\u2014which allows authorities to temporarily hold an individual for evaluation if they believe the person could pose a danger to themself or others\u2014his mom Teresita Lavandeira has filed for temporary custody of his kids.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy main concern and objective, as well as the family\u2019s, is to protect the children and make sure they are safe,\u201d an attorney for Hilton told People Aug. 12. \u201cWe want them to have some sense of normalcy as they begin their journey of healing after the tragic events that occurred last week."\u00a0<\/p>\n
