The muscle car churned out 900 hp on E10 gas and 1,025 hp on E85 ethanol fuel from its supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 engine.

Connected to a sharper-shifting 8-speed ZF transmission that uses race-proven shift strategies developed for Aston Martin’s Vantage GT4 race program to provide “crisper and more engaging shifts in all drive modes,” the Valen’s V12 enables a 0-60 time of 3.0 seconds and a top speed of 214 MPH (electronically limited).

The Valen is the latest V12 special project from Q by Aston Martin, the brand’s bespoke division, in collaboration with Aston Martin’s newly formed Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) Department. The limited-run model—only 150 will be made worldwide—is based on the automaker’s core front-engined V12 platform that underpins the Vanquish.

Extensive Weight-Saving Measures Make It 242 Pounds Lighter Than A Vanquish

However, Aston Martin made significant changes to the Vanquish platform, including saving 242 pounds of weight by using motorsport-inspired materials—including carbon fiber, aluminium, titanium and magnesium—as well as lightweight options.

For example, the Valen is clad in a full-carbon fiber body and offers an optional lightweight pack that shaves a further 37.2 lbs of weight through machined-from-solid aluminium suspension arms, knuckles and titanium chassis bolts.

Further weight-saving measures include the standard magnesium wheels that minimize unsprung mass to further improve steering response. The wheels are shod with Pirelli P Zero R tires (275/35 ZR21 front, 325/30 ZR21 rear) or P Zero Winter 2 tires for the bravest drivers; both are developed specifically for the Valen.

The supercar also features a lightweight titanium exhaust system with quad pipes.

Supercar Levels Of Performance And Dynamics

Aston Martin

On top of the weight-saving measures, the steering, suspension and braking systems have undergone targeted hardware and extensive software calibration to deliver a driver-focused configuration that matches the Valen’s raw performance, according to Aston Martin.

For example, the Valen has model-specific springs, helper springs and Bilstein DTX semi-active dampers, as well as 410-mm front and 360-mm rear carbon ceramic brakes.

Aston Martin

To squeeze the biggest possible amount of performance from the V12 powertrain, the Valen offers Sport, Sport+ and Track modes that are said to create “a true feeling of urgency and focus befitting supercar levels of performance and dynamics.”

Engineers paid close attention to throttle mapping, which changes according to drive mode. For instance, in Sport and Sport+ modes the throttle pedal uses a shorter map to deliver more throttle earlier in its travel, while Track mode offers a longer and more progressive delivery that favors on-limit precision.

Radical Looks That Echo The Raw Performance

Aston Martin

When it comes to looks, the Aston Martin Valen sports sharply sculpted lines and an aggressive stance on the outside, combined with a bespoke interior design that creates a more sporting cockpit environment.

At the front, highlights include the deeply recessed slimline headlamp units, the more angular treatment of the radiator aperture, the bold geometric mesh grille and sharp front splitter. The hood dons a single top vent with perforations at the trailing edge.

Seen from the side, the Valen has sharper and elongated side strakes, a large front fender vent, swollen rear haunches and a dramatic-looking stepped sill. Out back, the Valen looks equally raw thanks to the large upswept tail, which acts as a Gurney flap to generate downforce while incurring minimal drag and avoiding the need for motorsport-style wings.

A large aero wing in the upper section, full-width light bar, quad tailpipes set on two levels, and a massive diffuser contribute to the radical looks.

Inside, the Valen’s kinship with the Vanquish is more obvious when you look at the dashboard layout, but the Valen does its own thing with a slim, driver-oriented center console that incorporates the performance-focused switchpack from the Valhalla, new Sport Plus seats, and a wide choice of interior trim levels. Aston Martin says there’s a “near-limitless choice of combinations” for the cabin.

The Aston Martin Valen has been unveiled at Monterey Car Week, but deliveries aren’t scheduled to begin before Q2 2027, with a strict 150-unit production run being planned.

Aston Martin

Source: Read the original article on www.autoblog.com

It’s hard to find a superlative nowadays to describe a new product as competition is so stiff even in the ultra-luxury car market where Aston Martin is well represented. But when it comes to Gaydon’s newest model called the Valen, finding a superlative is easy as the press release describes it as “the world’s most […]

[38,36
82,28,32
post-35064","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-automobile","category-share-suggestions","tag-impact-aml","tag-signal-buy","tag-stage-stage-1
["GET
