Read our privacy notice.

I set my alarm for 6.45am daily, open the curtains and assess the weather. If it’s nice I make an espresso and sit out on the balcony. It overlooks the river and I’ll slightly guiltily — I’m an evening exerciser — watch the joggers run by while gathering my thoughts for the day.

I’m not much of a breakfast person. My trick is to have two good meals daily: lunch and dinner. I eat healthily and to keep in shape, avoiding snacks and ensuring a balance between healthy carbohydrates and protein.

Sport and exercise are a large part of my life. I played sport to quite a high level in the past and still incorporate that into my life. I’m fortunate to have a gym on site where I live, so I do that regularly and have a personal trainer to push me a little further too.

When it comes to recovery, I sauna and swim regularly. Using a Tens machine has been great for my shoulder and back injuries, and I use a muscle gun as well.

The only wearable I use is an Apple watch. I’m not obsessive about data — it’s easy to worry too much. That’s my personal approach, but I do use it if I’m wanting to time myself for a particular challenge, or interested in looking at specific data.

“I am often wheeled under the Dermalux by my staff to improve the bio-modulation of my skin”

We have a hyperbaric oxygen chamber at our Mayfair clinic, so when I have pulled a muscle or tendon, I will get in there to speed up recovery. I think it is so undervalued. I love it! I always say we can never get enough oxygen to the tissues.

There is no doubt that AI is increasingly part of our lives. I use it as part of my note-keeping and it’s made a huge difference in how I document consultations and produce treatment plans.

My only desktop gadgets are my Meta AI glasses. I’ve had lenses put into them so that I can use them for reading on the computer. They link me to phone and Zoom calls and directly to AI if I need to ask questions or research anything.

Luckily, I don’t suffer much from stress or mental fatigue. I love what I do, try my best to lead a healthy lifestyle, and play sport to keep me mentally and physically well. This carries into my work life at Mallucci, where we do our best to create a warm, welcoming environment where everybody helps everybody.

When it comes to biohacking tricks we have a great device in the clinic called Dermalux, which is UV light therapy. I am often wheeled underneath this by my staff to improve the bio-modulation of my skin.

Source: Read the original article on www.standard.co.uk

The Standard's journalism is supported by our readers.
