Hyderabad: Semi-prepared foods such as poori and poornam were not labeled at Babai Hotel in Madinaguda. Food waste was not cleared from drains and exhaust was greasy and required cleaning. Broken flooring observed at some places in the kitchen.<\/p>\n
Medical records of food handlers and food testing records were unavailable and uneven flooring causing water stagnation and odour in the dishwashing area. These violations were noticed during an inspection carried out by the food safety team of Cyberabad Municipal Corporation.<\/p>\n
In another inspection at Ideal Kitchen in Beeramguda, the food safety team officials found that the kitchen was small, congested and not properly cleaned. Semi-prepared batters and chutneys were stored close to a brooming stick.<\/p>\n
Medical, pest control, water and food testing, and packaging records were unavailable. Artificial food colours were in use and discarded on the spot. Prepared rice items including sambar rice, lemon rice, pulihora and mudda pappu-avakaya were kept open.<\/p>\n
Batters were not properly labeled and open drain and broken flooring in the grinding area causing water stagnation and odour. Exhausts were not cleaned properly, officials said<\/p>\n
Officials said they issued separate notices for the observed violations, with directions to rectify the deficiencies and improve food safety and hygiene standards.<\/p>\n
