Chelsea have signed Spanish left back Pep Chavarria \u200bfrom Rayo Vallecano on a deal \u200cuntil 2031, the Premier League \u200bclub said on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Financial \u2060details of the deal were not disclosed, but British media reported that \u200cChelsea had paid an initial \u00a316.3 million ($22.02 million) with a \u200cfurther \u00a31.7 million in add-ons for \u200cthe \u206028-year-old.<\/p>\n
"This is a dream \u2060for me as Chelsea are one of the biggest clubs in the world. \u200bIt is a \u200cbig opportunity but I am prepared and will work hard to help the team achieve \u200csuccess," Chavarria said in a \u200bstatement.<\/p>\n
Chavarria played for Figueres, Olot and Zaragoza in the \u2060lower tiers of Spanish football before joining Rayo Vallecano in 2022. \u200cHe made 125 appearances in all competitions and played a key role in their run to the UEFA Conference League final last season.<\/p>\n
