Cumulatively (since June 1), the total amount of quantum received was around 8.3 tmc ft. In a normal year, the State should have got around 49 tmc ft. till now.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On July 28, the CWRC directed Karnataka to ensure that Tamil Nadu realised, at Biligundlu (the gauge and discharge (G&amp;D) site being used by the CWC on the inter-State border), \u00a03,500 cubic feet per second (cusecs) of water for 15 days, starting from July 29. Two days later, the CWMA endorsed the Committee\u2019s decision.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As on date, the combined storage of four reservoirs in Karnataka was around 88 tmc ft. against the total capacity of 114.57 tmc ft.\u00a0 In the last two-odd months, the reservoirs have cumulatively received 77.75 tmc ft. and discharged 21.46 tmc ft.\u00a0 As for the Mettur dam in Tamil Nadu, the storage was 40.35 tmc ft. against the capacity of 93.47 tmc ft.<\/p>\n<p><em>Source: <a href='https:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/news\/national\/tamil-nadu\/cauvery-committee-authority-to-meet-on-tuesday-to-review-water-situation\/article71329276.ece' target='_blank'>Read the original article on www.thehindu.com<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Account subscription benefits alongside Premium Stories, Editorials, Opinions and more.
