Minister for Labour and Employment G. Vivek Venkataswamy and Peddapalli MP G. Vamsi Krishna have urged Union Minister for Heavy Industries H.D. Kumaraswamy to establish a PM-SETU ITI cluster in the Peddapalli parliamentary constituency.<\/p>\n
The duo met the Union Minister in New Delhi on Tuesday and highlighted the need for a dedicated PM-SETU ITI cluster in the Peddapalli region through the NMDC. Noting that Telangana is a frontrunner in the PM-SETU programme, they urged early sanction of the project.<\/p>\n
Mr. Vivek and MP Vamsi Krishna explained that Peddapalli, being an industrial and mining belt, requires skill training for local youth that is aligned with industry needs.<\/p>\n
They proposed developing specialised ITI courses in mining, metals, engineering, electrical, and mechanical fields and also suggested adopting a cluster approach by designating one government ITI as the PM-SETU hub and others as spokes.<\/p>\n
