It differs throughout the region, but it's in a lot of countries", they added.

JPMorgan's corporate banking business in Asia Pacific has grown well above 20 percent year-to-date, helped by Asian firms expanding abroad and rising investment in artificial intelligence, data centres and supply chains. "This year ‌it is even stronger," one of the regional heads told Reuters, and added "it's well above 20 percent across APAC and across all sectors."

Markets including Taiwan, South Korea, China and Australia have surpassed those growth rates, the executives said.

Southeast Asia is growing over 20 percent with Malaysia benefiting from foreign investment linked to artificial intelligence and data centres and Singapore acting as a regional connector, Reuters was told. JPMorgan is also putting more capital into trade finance and working capital finance, which helps companies pay for goods moving across borders, as trade within Asia increases and as the bank builds its trade finance business.

Analysts see JPMorgan’s Asia-Pacific hiring and expansion plans as a sign of sustained business opportunities, driven by AI, data centres, supply-chain diversification and rising intra-Asia trade. JPMorgan’s own APAC CFO survey found revenue growth remains the top priority, while 44 percent expect tougher economic conditions, suggesting strong growth potential alongside macro risks. Experts believe JPMorgan’s Asia expansion not only shows regional growth but also highlights Asia’s role in global trade, AI investment, supply chains and finance.

Get Latest News Live on Times Now along with Breaking News and Top Headlines from Business, Economy and around the World.

Sakshi Bajaj is a seasoned Associate Editor with over 15 years of experience in broadcast journalism.
