A manhunt has been launched after a woman was beaten by a man on a train from London to Aberdeen.<\/p>\n
The 24-year-old was punched and kicked on the service, which was travelling to Scotland from King's Cross, with other passengers forced to step in.<\/p>\n
The man then moved to another part of the train, with police appealing for information which will help to track him down.<\/p>\n
British Transport Police said: "At around 11.20am on Sunday 2 August, a 24-year-old woman was punched several times and kicked by a male. Several people came to the woman\u2019s aid as the male fled to another part of the train.<\/p>\n
"The incident happened on a London King\u2019s Cross to Aberdeen service, whilst the train was travelling between Newark Northgate and Doncaster.<\/p>\n
"The suspect is described as white, around 15-20 years-old, of slim build with short brown hair. He was wearing a light blue baseball cap, black jacket, white t-shirt with black writing on the front and black shorts.<\/p>\n
"Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to text BTP on 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 230 of 2 August.<\/p>\n
