After falling in the\u00a0final\u00a0at the Ontario Junior Elimination\u00a0Baseball\u00a0Tournament, the Selects advanced to this year\u2019s\u00a0Baseball\u00a0Canada\u2019s\u00a0Junior\u00a0Championship in Tecumseh as\u00a0the\u00a0second seed from the province.\u00a0<\/p>\n
It was a similar path to the one taken a year ago by the Selects in Dartmouth, N.S. that\u00a0ended\u00a0with a\u00a0title\u00a0and Windsor again reached the top of the podium on Sunday after a 5-0 win over Manitoba in the gold-medal final at Lacasse Park.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cBoth teams were solid for sure,\u201d\u00a0Selects\u2019\u00a0catcher Lucas Laprise said\u00a0in comparing this year\u2019s\u00a0Windsor\u00a0team to a year ago\u00a0\u201cThis year, we had some tougher games. Last\u00a0year, we went undefeated and this year was a tougher road, but we made it work. Both years we got the job done.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
