The reshuffle forms part of the National Stock Exchange\u2019s (NSE) half-yearly review of the benchmark and broader market indices.<\/p>\n<p>BSE\u2019s six-month average free-float market capitalisation stood at \u20b91,40,879 crore, compared with \u20b955,930 crore for Wipro, making it eligible for inclusion in the 50-stock index, NSE said on Monday. The changes will take effect after the close of trading on September 29.<\/p>\n<p>The methodology requires an incoming stock to have free-float market capitalisation of at least 1.5 times that of the relevant smallest Nifty 50 constituents.<\/p>\n<p>TVS Motor Company and Divi\u2019s Laboratories, with average free-float market capitalisations of \u20b984,566 crore and \u20b982,930 crore, respectively, were not considered for inclusion as they did not meet the threshold under the methodology.<\/p>\n<p>Hitachi Energy India, Polycab India, Vedanta Aluminium Metal and Vodafone Idea will be added in the Nifty 100 index, while Indian Hotels, Lodha Developers, REC, Shree Cement and United Spirits will exit.<\/p>\n<p>Wipro, which leaves the Nifty 50, will move to the Nifty Next 50.<\/p>\n<p>Life Insurance Corporation of India, Meesho, Bank of Maharashtra, Hindustan Copper, NLC India and REC will be added to the Nifty 200 index. BSE, Alkem Laboratories, Coromandel International, Hitachi Energy India, HUDCO, KPIT Technologies, Polycab India, Tata Elxsi, Tata Investment Corporation and Vodafone Idea are among the stocks exiting the Nifty Midcap 100 as the index composition is rebalanced.<\/p>\n<p>The Nifty 500 will also be reconstituted, with 27 stocks each being added and removed.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright\u00a9 2026, THG PUBLISHING PVT LTD. or its affiliated companies.
