Not since Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake have we seen a denim red carpet look so hotly debated, but now, it\u2019s Anne Hathaway\u2019s turn.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Odyssey actress, 43, stunned at the premiere of her new film The End of Oak Street on Sunday, somewhat dressing for comfort in a pair of loose-fitting jeans and, being that she\u2019s currently heavily pregnant, who can blame her?\u00a0<\/p>\n
Anne, 43, looked both chic and casual as she joined her co-stars at the California premiere of the sci-fi adventure, wearing a baby-blue high-neck satin top with red lining that tumbled into a full-on train, designed by Prabel Gurung. Styled by Erin Walsh, she teamed the glamorous upper-half with a pair of wide-legged blue jeans and heels. The dramatic top was cropped at the front, giving onlookers a glimpse of her bare baby bump.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Anne is expecting her third child with husband Adam Shulman and announced the happy news in June.\u00a0<\/p>\n
And, if there\u2019s anyone who could redefine celebrity maternity wear, it\u2019s one of Anna Wintour\u2019s favourite muses. So many elements of Anne\u2019s look have had people talking, from the jeans to the baby bump and the combo of laidback elegance.\u00a0<\/p>\n
It\u2019s proven to be marmite on the internet but frankly, it\u2019s refreshing to see a celebrity dressing for themselves and breaking the so-called red carpet rules. The history of jeans when it comes to Hollywood fashion has bizarrely been a contentious one despite providing us with so many iconic looks over the years.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Then Hollywood\u2019s sweetheart couple, Britney and Justin, twinning in their matching Canadian Tuxedos at the American Music Awards in 2001, is arguably one of the most recognisable celebrity style moments in pop culture history.<\/p>\n
Kanye West and Julia Fox also had a similar moment when they famously made their red carpet debut together at Paris Fashion Week, with the rapper\u2019s then-girlfriend modelling a cropped denim jacket with cone breasts in 2022.\u00a0<\/p>\n
And who can forget model Bhavitha Mandava opting to wear jeans with a polo to this year\u2019s Met Gala, just because she could.<\/p>\n
Anne\u2019s look was undoubtedly much more reserved than Julia\u2019s cone-bearing daring look, but the internet\u2019s reaction to her relaxed outfit would have you thinking otherwise.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It\u2019s no wonder Anne is embracing the denim after recently admitting to being a \u2018tomboy.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
