Jeremy Clarkson is feeling deflated due to the impact of soaring temperatures on his farm.<\/p>\n
The Clarkson\u2019s Farm star, 66, bought his 1,000-acre farm in\u00a02008\u00a0and began farming it in 2019, later opening a shop and wildly successful pub.<\/p>\n
However, with nature playing a key role in the outcome of his work at Diddly Squat, he\u2019s found the last few months particularly tough.<\/p>\n
Taking to Instagram, Clarkson shared a screenshot of the weather forecast.<\/p>\n
With today\u2019s temperatures reaching 29C in Chipping Norton and remaining as high as 28C even at 5pm, next week also looks to be a warm one, as Monday promises 24C.<\/p>\n
In his caption, the fed-up TV personality revealed that his harvest is \u2018already f***ed\u2019 in the aftermath of the driest July since records began 190 years ago.<\/p>\n
\u2018May as well just enjoy it now,\u2019 he added of the heat.<\/p>\n
He was quickly inundated with messages of support, with fans praying for \u2018desperately needed\u2019 rain to improve matters for farmers and their wildlife.<\/p>\n

\u2018The whole country is thinking about your harvest\u2019, said @danielle_hurley.<\/p>\n
Brutal weather conditions have left farmers reeling nationwide, with punishingly long droughts contributing to financial losses and ultimately the decision to scale back planting, which could result in UK-grown shortages this autumn.<\/p>\n
Farmers have also warned that this year\u2019s harvest could be the worst on record, causing \u2018shrinkflation\u2019 in supermarkets.<\/p>\n
Tim O\u2019Malley, chairman of Nationwide Produce, told Radio 5 Live\u2019s Wake Up to Money it is \u2018as bad as it\u2019s ever been\u2019, explaining that shoppers will likely encounter smaller vegetables at higher prices.<\/p>\n
\u2018We\u2019ve got crop with stress, or we\u2019ve got quality issues. So you will see a smaller crop,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n
Grocers are already having to import produce due to subpar conditions at home, with O\u2019Malley saying importing broccoli and lettuce from Spain at this time of year is \u2018unheard of\u2019.<\/p>\n
