According to the Meteorological Department, there may be torrential rains at many places in these states, hence people have been advised to remain alert.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Heavy Rain Alert 3rd August:<\/strong> Amidst monsoon activity across the country, India Meteorological Department (IMD) has released the latest weather forecast for August 3. According to the new bulletin of the Meteorological Department, heavy rains and stormy winds will continue in many parts of the country on Monday, August 3. IMD has issued a serious warning of extremely heavy rainfall at different places in 3 states including Bihar and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal. At the same time, an alert has been given for heavy rain and lightning from the plain states of North India like Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana to the hilly areas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Warning of very heavy rain in these 3 states<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum impact of rain will be seen in three major states of the country on August 3. Heavy to very heavy rainfall may be recorded at many places here. The period of monsoon rains will be very intense in Bihar. Orange alert of torrential and very heavy rain has been issued in different parts of the state. Very heavy rains are expected in the sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim areas adjacent to Northeast India on August 3. There is a possibility of very heavy rain at many places in the northeastern hilly state of Arunachal Pradesh.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Heavy rain alert from Delhi-UP to Punjab-Haryana<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to IMD, there is a possibility of heavy rain in a large part of the country on August 3.<\/p>\n<p><strong>North-West India:<\/strong> Heavy rain may occur at isolated places over Uttar Pradesh (both East and West regions), Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi as well as Punjab. Apart from this, heavy rains will continue in the hilly states of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh areas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>East and Central India:<\/strong> Heavy rain is likely over Jharkhand, Odisha and Chhattisgarh. Along with this, heavy rain will also be recorded in the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Northeast India:<\/strong> Apart from Assam and Meghalaya, alert of heavy rain has been issued in isolated areas of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.<\/p>\n<p><strong>West India:<\/strong> Heavy rain is expected in Konkan and Goa and hilly\/coastal areas of Central Maharashtra.<\/p>\n<p><strong>South India:<\/strong> Coastal Karnataka, South Interior Karnataka, Kerala and Mahe and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karakal will see heavy rains.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Strong winds will blow at a speed of 50 km\/hour, there will be lightning<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Meteorological Department has issued a detailed warning regarding rain as well as thunder, lightning and high speed winds on August 3. There is a strong possibility of thunderstorm, lightning and strong winds with a speed of 40 to 50 km per hour in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Mahe, Lakshadweep, North Interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karakal.<\/p>\n<p>Winds will blow at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour with thunderstorms in Bihar, Coastal Karnataka, South Interior Karnataka, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, West Bengal and Sikkim and Jammu and Kashmir-Ladakh. There is a threat of mainly thunder and lightning in different areas of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Rayalaseema, Uttarakhand and Vidarbha.
