Importantly, if delivery fails within the stipulated time, the full postage fee will be refunded.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Which cities will offer 24-hour delivery?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Currently, the new 24-Speed \u200b\u200bPost and 24-Speed \u200b\u200bPost Parcel services have been launched between six major cities in the country.<\/p>\n<p>Delhi<br \/>\nMumbai<br \/>\nChennai<br \/>\nKolkata<br \/>\nBengaluru<br \/>\nHyderabad<\/p>\n<p>Documents or parcels booked between these cities are targeted for next-day (D+1) delivery. 48-Speed \u200b\u200bPost will offer two-day (D+2) delivery. This service will be expanded to Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities in the future.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What will now be considered a document and what will be considered a parcel?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the new rules, India Post has clarified the categories of documents and parcels, so there is no confusion during booking.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Documents will include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Aadhaar card, PAN card, voter ID, driving license, and passport<\/li>\n<li>Bank passbook, checkbook, bank statement, welcome kit<\/li>\n<li>Credit\/debit cards, and insurance documents<\/li>\n<li>Non-commercial Rakhi envelopes, small packets, and greeting cards for Rakshabandhan weighing up to 500 grams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Parcels will fall under the category of:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mobile phones and other electronic goods<\/li>\n<li>Clothing and ready-made garments<\/li>\n<li>Gift items and other heavy goods<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What will be the new speed post charges?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Starting August 1st, the charges will be based on weight, distance, and service.
