The crash put Rodrigues into the hospital and, according to the lawsuit, he continues to be &quot;partially disabled&quot; as a result.<\/p>\n<p>Brockton Police Sgt. Robert DiLiddo and his K-9 partner Kilo were presented with the &quot;Service Dog of the Game&quot; award at the Boston Red Sox game at Fenway Park.<\/p>\n<p>Two Brockton brothers pleaded guilty in federal court to a 2024 robbery of the Energy Credit Union in West Roxbury where one of them worked.<\/p>\n<p>In case you missed it, here are five stories from the past week that resonated with our readers.<\/p>\n<p>Brockton Mayor Moises Rodrigues has sued Massachusetts for negligence in a May 2025 wreck with a State Police trooper. The crash put Rodrigues into the hospital and, according to the lawsuit, he continues to be &quot;partially disabled&quot; as a result. A State Police report said Trooper Augustine K. Moore&#039;s inattention and failure to yield right-of-way contributed to the wreck.<\/p>\n<p>The lawsuit comes after Rodrigues&#039; attorney said Moore has refused to discuss an out-of-court settlement. Robert DiLiddo has worked closely alongside canines for decades \u2014 or rather, K-9s.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;I started my career &#8230; with the K-9s in 1997,&quot; he said. &quot;(Got) my first dog (and) got involved heavily with the training of these working dogs back then.&quot; DiLiddo oversees the Brockton Police K-9 Program for the Brockton Police Department, and he&#039;s an assistant trainer for the Southeastern Metro K-9 Group.<\/p>\n<p>Now, his contributions are being celebrated. DiLiddo and Kilo headed to the Boston Red Sox game at Fenway Park on Tuesday, Aug. 4, where they where presented with the &quot;Service Dog of the Game&quot; award, highlighting DiLiddo&#039;s efforts in K-9 education and the partnership he&#039;s formed with his dog.<\/p>\n<p>Brockton police sergeant: honored: Why Brockton police sergeant and K-9 will take to the field at Fenway<\/p>\n<p>A second teenager has died following a crash involving a stolen SUV in Abington on July 29, the Plymouth County District Attorney&#039;s Office told The Enterprise on Aug. 1.<\/p>\n<p>The second victim was a teen girl, according to reporting by Enterprise media partner WCVB, citing the Plymouth County District Attorney&#039;s Office. The victim&#039;s name was not released.<\/p>\n<p>The second death follows a crash Wednesday morning, July 29, in which a stolen SUV driven by a 17-year-old struck a tree after Abington police attempted to stop the vehicle, according to the DA&#039;s office.
