Oxford Cheetahs powered to a dominant 51-39 victory over Scunthorpe Scorpions.<\/p>\n
The win at the Oxford BetGoodwin Stadium knocked the visitors off the top of the Cab Direct Championship table.<\/p>\n
Scunthorpe held an early 17-13 lead after five heats, but Oxford turned the meeting around with four 5-1 heat victories in the next five races to take control.<\/p>\n
Sam Masters and Luke Killeen kicked off the run with a maximum in Heat 6, and Anders Rowe and Darryl Ritchings put the Cheetahs ahead in Heat 7.<\/p>\n

The home side extended their lead to 36-24 after ten heats, and though Scunthorpe closed the gap to just six points following a tactical 5-1 in Heat 12, Oxford finished strongly to secure victory.<\/p>\n
Anders Rowe, who scored 11 points, said: "It was another confidence boasting meeting for me tonight and long may it continue. I have been riding well recently.<\/p>\n
"I've got some good things happening with engines, and had plenty of meetings recently, because bike time always helps.<\/p>\n
"I missed the gate in my third race, but you can't win them all, and it was nice to pick up 11 points out of 12."<\/p>\n
Rowe also praised the strength of the opposition.<\/p>\n
He said: "Scunthorpe are a really good team \u2013 who are riding high in the league table \u2013 and it was awesome for us to beat them by as much as we did.<\/p>\n
"All the boys chipped in and we all scored points."<\/p>\n
The rider spoke highly of the team environment at Oxford.<\/p>\n
He said: "I enjoy riding for Oxford. It's always tricker for me when I'm not going so well myself.<\/p>\n
"But now that I've got engines which are working any my confidence is building, it's fun.<\/p>\n
