An eerie, glowing orb appeared to hang frozen in the Colorado sky for six hours, leaving witnesses unable to explain what they had seen.\u00a0<\/p>\n
A fencing crew noticed the brilliant white object near New Castle at approximately 11am and said it remained in the same position until they left the area around 4:30pm.<\/p>\n
Images and footage from the encounter show what appears to be a luminous, almost perfectly circular object against the clear blue sky.\u00a0<\/p>\n
John Smith captured the eerie object in the sky, telling the Daily Mail: '[It was] perfectly round and transparent through binoculars, almost like a ball of energy.'<\/p>\n
He added that\u00a0the orb displayed no obvious movement despite being watched throughout the working day.<\/p>\n
Adding to the mystery, the crew claimed this was not their first encounter with the unexplained object.<\/p>\n
'We saw the second orb a week later about 50 miles away on another jobsite, same exact situation,' said Smith. 'The orb stayed in place the entire day.'<\/p>\n
The photograph alone cannot establish the object\u2019s size, altitude or distance from the camera, leaving open more conventional explanations such as a balloon or an optical effect.<\/p>\n

But its apparent ability to remain fixed for hours, and its alleged appearance in two different places, has left the witnesses searching for answers.<\/p>\n
Smith shared the footage and image in a Facebook group, where users offered numerous explanations for the mysterious sighting.<\/p>\n
\u2018I honestly think this is a daytime plasma orb, which doesn\u2019t happen often!\u2019 one user said.<\/p>\n
Several others argued that the object was nothing more than a weather balloon.<\/p>\n
