In a news release he called on Julie Dabrusin, minister of Environment, Climate Change and Nature, to review the region\u2019s severe-weather notification, warning processes and procedures, and provide a \u201ccapable and reliable radar system\u201d for the area.<\/p>\n
\u201cEssex County is one of Canada\u2019s most active severe weather regions due to its unique geographic location situated between Lake Erie and Lake St. Clair, as well as its proximity to the U.S.\u00a0midwest\u00a0storm track,\u201d Lewis said. \u201cSince 2018, Essex\u00a0County has experienced several tornadoes, many of which occurred without\u00a0timely\u00a0severe weather warnings issued from Environment and Climate Change Canada.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
