A motorcycle can be fast, but knowing how to ride it well is a different skill. Ultraviolette is now putting more attention on that part with a new riding academy in India. The programme brings track riding and off road training into one system, with riders able to learn, take tests and earn certificates at different stages.
The academy has two programmes. Track Attack is meant for circuit riding and performance skills. Into the Wild is for off road riding and difficult terrain. Both use three levels, so riders can build their skills step by step instead of trying advanced exercises too early.
‘Track Attack’ covers the skills needed on a race track. Riders will work on braking, throttle use, cornering, body position and choosing the right line. Track safety, flag rules, riding gear, bike checks and circuit awareness are also part of the training.
‘Into the Wild’ takes riders away from the smooth surface of a circuit. The sessions deal with loose ground, uneven surfaces and obstacles. Balance, body movement, braking, throttle control and terrain reading are included. Riders will also learn how to recover a motorcycle after a difficult section.
The academy uses the same three stage system for both programmes.
Every stage has classroom lessons, riding exercises and an assessment. A rider cannot simply attend a session and move ahead. The required skills have to be shown during the assessment. Those who pass receive the relevant Track Attack or Into the Wild certificate.
Ultraviolette says certified instructors will conduct the sessions. The team will include National Champions, with training held at controlled racetracks and dedicated off road locations.
The courses are not only for speed. Riders will also learn judgement, consistency and safe motorcycle control. This is useful because mistakes on a track or rough trail can quickly become serious.
The first Level 1 Into the Wild session is scheduled for Bengaluru on August 23, 2026. A Track Attack session is planned for September 27. Ultraviolette also plans a year round calendar using more racetracks and off road locations across India.
The academy is linked to the company’s wider focus on performance riding. The programmes were earlier known as separate riding experiences for the F77 and X47. They now sit under one training platform.
Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and co founder of Ultraviolette, said the company sees certified rider training as its first step towards electric motorsport in India.
