For a rider filling up a scooter today, ethanol content in petrol is already a familiar topic. Honda has now taken this a step further with the ADV 160. The new scooter supports fuel containing up to 85 per cent ethanol and has been launched in India at Rs 1.70 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). Along with the ADV 160, Honda has also announced the pricing of the Rebel 300.
Bookings are open across India for Rs 5,000. Deliveries are planned from mid October 2026. The scooter will be sold through Honda RedWing and BigWing dealerships.
The ADV160 is Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India’s first flex fuel scooter for the country. Its FlexTech system allows the 156.93cc engine to use petrol containing up to 85 percent ethanol. This gives the scooter a different place in Honda’s range.
The ADV160 uses a liquid cooled single cylinder engine. It makes 16.3 PS and 14.9 Nm and gets an automatic transmission.
The E85 support is one of the main talking points. The scooter can use petrol with ethanol content of up to 85 percent. Fuel availability can vary by location, but the FlexTech setup gives owners more fuel options.

The design follows the adventure scooter theme with a tall front section, compact windscreen, raised handlebar and rugged body panels. The stepped seat also adds to its touring look. The storage space should be handy for daily items.
Honda has used disc brakes at both ends and added single channel ABS. Traction control is also available to help manage rear wheel slip on loose or slippery surfaces.
The ADV160 will face scooters such as the Hero Xoom 160, Yamaha Aerox 155 and TVS Ntorq 150. Its mix of E85 support, storage and connected features gives it a different character in this price range.
The ADV160 adds another option for people who want a scooter with adventure styling and more technology. Its E85 capability also gives Honda a new way to use alternative fuel technology in the scooter market.
