Jaguar has revealed the interior of the upcoming Type 01 electric GT ahead of its global debut on October 6 in New York. The cabin closely follows the design direction previewed by the Type 00 concept, featuring a futuristic layout with a strong emphasis on minimalism and technology.

One of the standout elements is a brass-finished central spine that runs through the length of the cabin, dividing it into four individual seating areas. Jaguar says this design is integrated with its “hidden on-demand technology”, which includes a small touchscreen for climate controls and another display built into the dashboard.

The driver gets a digital instrument display positioned behind a two-spoke steering wheel with touch-sensitive controls. The passenger side features distinctive “strikethrough” design elements that visually connect with similar styling cues on the exterior.

The Type 01 also adopts a panoramic glass roof and replaces the conventional rear windscreen with digital rear-view cameras. The cabin is configured as a four-seater with dual-tone upholstery, while the doors feature brass accents and Jaguar’s signature leaper logo.

According to Jaguar, the interior draws inspiration from natural materials such as travertine stone and handcrafted textiles, aiming to create a more immersive and premium cabin experience.

The Type 01 will be the first production model based on Jaguar’s new Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA). The company claims it will offer a driving range of over 700 km and feature a three-motor electric powertrain producing more than 1,000 HP.

Jaguar is scheduled to unveil the production-spec Type 01 on October 6, with international market launches expected during the first half of 2027. The electric GT is expected to compete with models such as the Porsche Taycan, Audi e-tron GT, Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe and Ferrari’s upcoming electric grand tourer.
