Canadian fund rides wave of investment capital flowing into residential properties in Japan

TOKYO — Canadian investment group Brookfield recently acquired a portfolio of rental apartment buildings across four of Japan's major urban centers for more than 100 billion yen ($627 million). The deal underscores the continuous flow of global investment capital into Japan's housing market.
