The Andhra Pradesh government on Saturday approved AM AI Factory Pvt Ltd to set up a 512-MW green integrated AI data centre in Visakhapatnam district, involving an investment of over ₹31,387 crore.

The facility, proposed to be set up at Amanam village in Bheemunipatnam mandal, is expected to generate employment for up to 1,000 people, IT Secretary Bhaskar Katamneni said in a Government Order.

“The government, after careful examination… hereby accords approval to AM AI Factory (Vizag) Pvt Ltd for the establishment of a 512-MW Green Integrated AI Data Centre Facility… within a period of two years and four months,” Katamneni said in the GO.

Under the non-fiscal incentives for the project, the state government will provide power infrastructure support and ensure water supply, among other facilities, while fiscal incentives will include exemption from stamp duty and electricity duty, the GO said.
