Emmerdale stars Jeff Hordley and Zoe Henry received love from fans and co-stars as they shared their new joint venture.

Both Jeff Hordley and Zoe Henry joined Emmerdale in 2000 as Cain Dingle and Rhona Goskirk. However, the pair first met over two decades ago at drama school, where a romance swiftly developed.

The couple are both beloved characters in the Yorkshire-based soap, and they also reside in the Yorkshire Dales as a family, where they even own an allotment to work on together.

Jeff proposed to Zoe in 2002 after she secured Best Actress at the Manchester Evening News' theatre awards. At the time, he said: "I had been planning to propose for some time and thought to myself: 'If she wins today, I'll do it today'. When she won, I leaped out of my seat in front of her.

"Then it dawned on me that her winning meant that I had to propose – and that's when the nerves set in. Fortunately for me, she said yes."

The couple later married in 2003 at the magnificent Hedingham Castle, before celebrating afterwards at the Swan Hotel in Lavenham. Their big day saw multiple faces from Emmerdale join in with the celebrations including Emma Atkins and Charley Webb.

Two years later in 2005, they welcome their daughter Violet, before their son Stan arrived in 2008. In 2020, the couple announced that they had a new puppy called Ronald to accompany their dog Rita, who sadly died in 2024.

While the couple do occasionally share scenes together in the ITV soap, most recently for Monty Dingle's goodbye, they live a relatively private life away from the Dales.

Now, Jeff and Zoe are sharing their life behind the scenes on social media as they work on their allotment together. They gushed: "Welcome! Join us as we show you life on our allotment. We can’t wait to share it with you! Feel free to ask us questions, we might even have the answers!"

In a new video starring them both and a quick cameo from Ronald, they penned: "Hello to all our new followers! So pleased you could join us on this journey!"

They then asked if there's anything their new followers might want to see, before panning the camera to Ronald joking that they might just want to see more of him.

In the comments, their Emmerdale co-stars were quick to show support as Laura Norton joked: "More of Ron please love you both" and Rosie Bentham added: "Ronald. That’s what we want to see. X"

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX and YouTube from 7am.
