Hello and welcome to the MEN's Manchester United transfer news live blog on Wednesday, August 5.
We will be keeping you up to date with all the latest transfer news and views from Old Trafford as Michael Carrick's side continue their work in the market this summer.
United have already confirmed the arrivals of five players while 12 have left the club in a summer of change for Carrick's men as they prepare for their return to the Champions League this season.
The Reds continue to retain an interest in the midfielder Manu Kone and left-back Lewis Hall, while one remaining high-profile departure this summer could come in the form of Marcus Rashford.
Elsewhere, Juventus have stepped up their chase for Joshua Zirkzee, Racing Santander's Jorge Salinas could be an alternative to Hall for United, and Aurelien Tchouameni continues to be linked with a move to Old Trafford.

Manu Kone has been tipped to shone in midfield for Arsenal – not Manchester United. United have been heavily linked with the French international in their search for midfield reinforcements.
Kone impressed with his performances on the World stage for France in the World Cup this summer. He helped his side to a fourth-place finish in the tournament, losing to England in third-place play-off.
Reports in France last month claimed that United had opened talks with Roma over a deal, but faced competition from Arsenal. Former United full-back Patrice Evra has now appeared to suggest that a move to the Emirates Stadium may be the right one for the 25-year-old, instead of a place in Michael Carrick's squad.

Jadon Sancho is preparing for his next move after a frustrating five-year tenure at Manchester United. Per Sky Sports, the winger has reached verbal agreements with several suitors in Europe and the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia, and is now weighing his choices. Among the possibilities is a return to Borussia Dortmund, where he previously notched 53 goals and 67 assists over 158 matches.

Bayern Munich are back on the trail of Benjamin Sesko, per GiveMeSport. But United aren't budging—they still consider the Slovenian striker central to Michael Carrick's long-term project at Old Trafford.
