Three South Indian medtech startups — BioCipher Labs, Prodancy and Mykare.ai — have won HealthSprint 2026 and will undertake a fully funded week-long immersion in Israel’s healthcare innovation ecosystem.

Three South Indian medtech startups are set to get a closer look at Israel’s healthcare innovation ecosystem after winning HealthSprint 2026, an India-Israel initiative aimed at helping young healthcare companies validate, scale and take their businesses to global markets.

Bengaluru-based BioCipher Labs and Prodancy, and Kochi-based Mykare.ai, emerged winners after pitching their solutions to a panel of mentors, investors and industry experts from India and Israel.

The three startups span different parts of the healthcare technology spectrum. BioCipher Labs is working on AI-powered molecular diagnostics. Prodancy has developed an indigenous surgical helmet for joint-replacement procedures to reduce dependence on imported consumables. Mykare.ai, meanwhile, has built an AI-native patient-management platform for clinics and smaller hospitals.

As part of the prize, the founders will undertake a fully funded, week-long immersion in Israel, where they will have the opportunity to engage with healthcare companies, innovators, and institutions, and explore potential routes into international markets.

The programme comes at a time when Indian medtech startups are looking beyond the domestic market, yet often face a long and expensive road to clinical validation, regulatory approvals, and funding.

Talor Sax, founder of eHealth Ventures, pointed to a particular challenge for medical-device companies, where reaching an investor-attractive milestone can take considerable time.

HealthSprint attracted 175 applications, of which 15 startups — five each in Diagnose, Treat and Manage — were shortlisted for the final pitches.

Girish Hiremath, COO of GINSERV, said the initiative gave Indian founders direct access to Israel’s expertise in clinical validation. “It’s incredible to build institutions of impact,” he said.

For Israel, too, the programme is about building bridges into India’s growing healthcare startup ecosystem. Max Shmagin, Deputy Consul General of Israel for South India in Bengaluru, said collaboration between the two countries could help healthcare solutions move across markets and scale faster.

HealthSprint is a joint initiative of the Consulate General of Israel in Bengaluru and Bengaluru-based startup accelerator GINSERV.
