Fergie and Josh Duhamel got emotional as they celebrated their son Axl’s 13th birthday with rare family photos.
Fergie knows big girls don’t cry, but she just can’t help it.
Indeed, the Grammy winner got emotional as she and her ex-husband Josh Duhamel celebrated their son Axl’s 13th birthday, marking the milestone by sharing rare snaps of their not-so-little guy.
“13. Wow, my teenager,” Fergie wrote on Instagram Aug. 29 alongside never-before-seen photos of Axl. “I’m saying that with tears in my eyes as I feel like the world is shifting beneath us. It’s so beautiful to watch you grow into the kind, silly, and cool dude you are. You are so tough bruh.”
“Happy 13th Axl Jack,” she added. “I love you.”
In one snap, Axl—dressed in a black graphic T-shirt and white pants—gives the camera his best serious face as he poses against a wall with his blonde locks falling over his face. Meanwhile, another pic proves the teen is the same height as the Black Eyed Peas alum as the pair smile in coordinating black outfits.
Fergie, 51, also shared a few throwback pics of Axl, including one where she holds her then-baby boy on her hip and another of him playing in a ball pit as a toddler.
And just like the “London Bridge” rapper, Josh is also wondering where the time went.
“Guess who’s a TEENAGER!? Holy crap that went fast,” Josh, 53, wrote on Instagram alongside more photos from Axl’s childhood. “I love this dude so much. I couldn’t have asked for a more kind, compassionate and thoughtful kid. HAPPY 13th B-DAY AXL JACK!!!”
Included in the carousel of photos was a snap which appeared to show Axl holding his three-month-old half-sister Rocca de Leon—who Josh shares with wife Audra Mari—while sitting in a chair.
Recently, the Safe Haven star—also dad to 2-year-old son Shepard with Audra—shared a glimpse into his blended family dynamic.
"Fergie is an amazing woman. She really is,” he said on SiriusXM's The Jess Cagle Show in September 2023. "She's taken Audra in. It could be much worse. That's the thing: you never know how these things are gonna go."
Admitting he was once worried about creating a glamorous coparenting dynamic with Fergie—who he split from in 2017—the Ransom Canyon actor gives her a ton of credit for their family’s bond.
"Because she's such a kindhearted person, she really, truly is. She only has love for Audra, and I can't believe how excited she is for us," he explained. "We have a really civil situation.”
"We're great friends," she told People in 2017. "It just got to the point where it was getting a little weird. There's no perfect time, so we just decided to do it.”
