A man has been taken to hospital following an assault in Glasgow's southside.

Police were called to the Allison Street and Annette Street areas at around 7.50am on Sunday, August 30, following a report that a man had been assaulted.

The 41-year-old was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Enquiries are being carried out in the Allison Street and Annette Street areas of Glasgow following a report made around 7.50am on Sunday, 30 August, 2026, of a man assaulted.

“A 41-year-old man has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

“Enquiries are continuing to gather more information on the circumstances and trace those involved.”
