Chelsea will look to continue their perfect start to life under Xabi Alonso as they host Brighton in the Premier League this afternoon.
The Blues kickstarted their season with a 3-2 win over London rivals before easing past Luton Town in the Carabao Cup second round in midweek.
But Alonso’s side face a much sterner test today up against Brighton, who thrashed Aston Villa 4-0 in a stellar performance on opening weekend.
Jack Hinshelwood scored a brace in that win but is expected to miss out for Brighton after picking up an injury in training.

Chelsea, meanwhile, will hope to welcome Moises Caicedo back into the matchday squad after he missed the opening two matches with a minor injury.

‘I think they’ll find it a lot more difficult against Chelsea, who had a great result against Fulham. I’m going to go for a home win.’
