YOUNG players from Fort Matilda Tennis Club said a special goodbye to their long-'serving' head coach at a recent open day.
It was an emotional farewell for former tennis pro Stephanie Swan, who has encouraged thousands of children to play the sport in her eight years at the club.
In that time she has built an inclusive pathway for youngsters from nursery age through to adulthood.
After close to a decade at the Greenock club, Stephanie is now moving on, leaving its young members in the capable hands of James Dickson who has been part of the team for four years.

Speaking to the Tele about her recent send-off, Stephanie said: "It was a wonderful day and a great way to say goodbye. I just wanted as many youngsters to come along and celebrate our summer of sport at the club.
"It has been a wonderful eight years and we have achieved a lot. But it is time to move on ."
Stephanie, who grew up in Gourock and now lives in Port Glasgow, is moving onto Strathgryffe Tennis Club in Houston.
Throughout her final summer, Stephanie and her team have run summer camps with hundreds coming along to play.
She believes that even in her absence Fort Matilda will continue to be a club that is open to anyone.
Stephanie said: "I always say tennis is an inclusive sport and it only costs £30 a year to be a member.
"James is great and will very much continue where we have left off, building up our youth players."
