Thirty-four Australians are missing after flash floods in an area at the border of Nepal and China devastated communities and killed at least 160 people. An avalanche from a glacier has been deemed the most likely cause of the catastrophe.
The US Geological Survey recorded a 5.2 magnitude landslide about 66km north of Kathmandu, according to the Associated Press. A map published by the newswire showed the Dhading, Nuwakot and Rasuwa districts were the worst hit.
