Chelsea are considering whether to sign Emi Martinez after being offered him by intermediaries.
Standard Sport understands Chelsea are in discussions with the relevant parties and are considering whether to make the move.
Martinez is believed to be open to the move and wants to leave Aston Villa, who have signed Zion Suzuki to become their new first-choice goalkeeper.

Standard Sport had learned they had no plans to sign Martinez even after his move to Juventus broke down.
Before Martinez's move to Juventus collapsed, Villa had quoted the Italian club an asking price as £8.5m for the 33-year-old.
But Sanchez made two high-profile errors in Monday’s 3-2 Premier League win over Fulham and Chelsea have now reconsidered their position.
Their interest in Martinez was instigated by intermediaries offering the player to the Blues, who are now mulling over the possibility of signing Martinez and how a deal would move.
Neutrals have described the goalkeeping department as the position most in need of upgrading at Chelsea, yet they have previously shown faith in Sanchez as first-choice for a number of seasons despite some high-profile errors.
Chelsea have plenty of business still to do in the window, with Liam Delap set to join Nottingham Forest for £45million plus £5m in add-ons and Nicolas Jackson, Marc Guiu and Tosin Adarabioyo all for sale.
Jackson has interest from Martinez’s employers Villa.
